Hens are where Wayside began. What started with eight chickens has grown into a flock of over 50 free-range hens, kept right at the heart of our smallholding in Nidderdale.

Our hens have plenty of space to roam, perch, dust-bathe, and explore across our 6 acres. We focus on good husbandry, clean coops, and daily care - because healthy, well-looked after hens lay better eggs!
Our eggs are laid daily, collected with care, and sold fresh at our farm gate. We’ll soon be offering weekly egg subscriptions for local delivery and collection, so your breakfasts stay fresh, ethical, and full of flavour.
