OUR STORY
Wayside is a 6-acre family-run smallholding tucked into the rolling hills of Nidderdale, run by our family of four, with two very enthusiastic junior helpers. We breed pedigree Blue Texel sheep, keep bees, grow our own veg, and produce free-range eggs throughout the year. What began with a handful of chickens has grown into a working smallholding focused on high welfare, quality produce, and practical, small-scale farming. We believe good food starts with well-looked-after animals and a bit of patience. No shortcuts, no rushing; just careful farming and produce we’re proud to sell. Thanks for supporting small-scale farming and taking the time to visit Wayside.

OUR ETHOS
At Wayside, we keep things simple:
-
High welfare, always - animals come first, with space, care and proper attention.
-
Practical, sustainable farming - working with the land through rotational grazing and wildlife friendly practices.
-
Open and local - a small, transparent farm where you know who's producing your food.
